Something to Hold Onto (1 Peter 1:1-9)
Have you ever been overwhelmed by the challenges and changes around you? The Apostle Peter and many in the early church knew that feeling. They were not only flooded by change, but many faced the challenge of deadly persecution. In 1 Peter 1:1-9, Peter reminded them (and us!) of the powerful source of the hope we have in Jesus. It is a living hope based on a past event, looking forward to a future event, and with much to offer even in the present moment.
