Psalm 23 MSG

Watch:https://bibleproject.com/videos/gospel-luke-4/

When I was going through a difficult time in my life, I spent time meditating on Psalm 23. As a result, I re-cast the most famous psalm into my own prayer. I have prayed this time and again… these are my words, borrowed from David, to express to “my papa” the message of my heart. I share this with you, in the hope that this prayer will touch you, and maybe you will pray this as well. Pastor Mark

MY PSALM 23

Pray:

 You PAPA are my Care-Provider;

In Your presence I am never without; you support and sustain me.

You allow me times of refreshing rest in lush-grassy fields;

You walk with me along peaceful paths; like streams in a desert.

You restore my strength; You ARE my strength as I am weak

You mentor me along the Way of doing and being right,

You allow me to participate in bringing honor to Your name.

Even as I traverse

this dark and painful season in my life

I am not afraid,

I have no fear!

Because you are right beside me.

You are actually carrying me

Your Grace and Mercy

give me the confidence and comfort I need.

You allow me to sit in Your lap

Nursing me to health;

Even as I am swarmed about by

those that would do me harm.

You cuddle me as Your precious-anointed child,

You place Your hand of blessing on my head.

My life and heart overflow with blessings.

 I deeply understand that your goodness and unfailing love

pursue me

even when I run or feel far from you,

Truly, I begin to understand

No matter where I find myself

Your Abiding Presence,

Your Holy Spirit

Is

With me

Now, and forever!

My heart replies, May It Be!
