Message: “Viewing Our Suffering Through the Lens of Eternity” from Tim Melton

A message from the series "Sunday Service." The book of Revelation is calling us to look through an eternal lens. It is written for those who have their eyes fixed on heaven and not on this world. It is written from the perspective of heaven. If we approach these verses from a worldly perspective, seeking success, pleasure, comfort and material gain, the verses will never make sense. They will be blurry and unclear and even offensive. If we are wearing the lens of the world the reality of God cannot be seen.

Christ Our Overcomer (Revelation Part 2)

The book of Revelation is known for being hard to understand, but there are some basic truths that are very clear. One recurring theme in the book of Revelation centers around the word “nikao.” This is the word from which comes the name of the athletic shoe company, “Nike.” It means to triumph, to conquer, to prevail and to overcome. This word appears 28 times in the New Testament. 17 of those are in the book of Revelation. This is truly a book for those who need to overcome.
