Something that we desire or seek more than anything else. We all are seekers. Everyone is seeking something. Some live their entire lives trying to fill that God-shaped void that we all have in our hearts. We seek to fill it with money, success, respect, freedom, pleasure, and at the end find ourselves emptier than we were when we started. In the book of Jeremiah, we find an example of this. “My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.” Jeremiah 2:13
