Message: “Have You Found What are You Looking For?” from Tim Melton

A message from the series "Sunday Service." We all are looking for something. Something worth getting out bed for. Something that makes life worth living. Something that we desire or seek more than anything else. We all are seekers. Everyone is seeking something. Some live their entire lives trying to fill that God-shaped void that we all have in our hearts. We seek to fill it with money, success, respect, freedom, pleasure, and at the end find ourselves emptier than we were when we started. In the book of Jeremiah, we find an example of this. “My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.” Jeremiah 2:13

Maturity in our Gratitude (Philippians 4:10-20)

Our series on growing in mature discipleship, which we began on Jan. 1, comes to its conclusion today with a look at how we grow in gratefulness, thanks to Bro. Larry McCrary. With the help of several different preachers, we have covered a lot of topics, though not nearly all of them. This subject is really endless, but I hope the series has at least encouraged us in the direction of greater intentionality in the pursuit of our relationship with the Lord Jesus. He is actually the One who is pursuing us, every day, but only as we respond to His invitation do we become more aware of how much He truly loves us and longs for our regular communion with Him — and what a difference it makes in us!
