Volunteer Opportunity: Social Media Manager/Content Creators

Are you passionate about using your creative gifts to serve God and our church community? We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Social Media Manager/Content Creators to help us share the Good News and connect with more people online!

In this vital volunteer role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping our digital presence, helping us effectively communicate our church’s mission, events, and messages across various platforms. We believe that a strong online presence can greatly enhance our outreach and discipleship efforts, and we’re excited to find someone who can help us steward this opportunity.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Content Creation: Developing engaging and relevant content for our social media channels (Instagram and Facebook) and our church website. This includes graphics, short videos, text posts, and stories that inspire, inform, and invite participation.
  • Social Media Management: Regularly scheduling and publishing posts, monitoring engagement, and interacting with our online community in a Christ-like manner.
  • Website Content Support: Assisting with updating and maintaining content on our church website to ensure it’s current and user-friendly.
  • Storytelling: Helping us tell the stories of God’s work in our church and community through compelling digital content.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re praying for someone with a heart for ministry and a strong desire to use their talents for God’s glory. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Experience & Giftedness: Proven experience in social media management, content creation, or a natural gifting in these areas.
  • Design Skills: Proficiency with design tools like Canva and image editing software (e.g., Photoshop, GIMP) to create visually appealing content.
  • Tech Savvy: A good understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook) and how they work.
  • Bonus Points: Familiarity with AI tools like OpenAI (ChatGPT) or Google Gemini for content generation, brainstorming, or idea development would be a significant plus, but not required.
  • Availability: Ability to dedicate a few hours each week to this team, with flexibility to work remotely.
  • Team Player: A humble and cooperative spirit, eager to collaborate with our leadership team and other volunteers.
  • Alignment: A desire to serve within an evangelical church context and align with our church’s vision and values.
